"It's Not What I Want "
Words and Music by André Schlesinger

Every Monday morning the alarm kicks me in the head
It's time to earn a living, you know I'd rather stay in bed
But five days a week I'm working nine to five
It's never enough to pay the bill but it's enough to keep me alive

And I might stay here but I don't know
But I don't really care if you like it or not!
Because it's not what I want but it's all that I've got
And I don't need you to tell me what I'm not

Every Friday night is always the same old shit
The same old fucking bar, you know I've had enough of it
But two nights a week and fifty two times a year
If I'm nowhere to be found you can always find me here

And I might stay here but I don't know
And I don't really care if you like it or not!
Because it's not what I want but it's all that I've got
And I don't need you to tell me what I'm not

(solo)

And I might stay here but I don't know
But I don't really care if you like it or not!
Because it's not what I want but it's all that I've got
And I don't need anyone to tell me what I'm not
