Maninblack Seeks New Drummer!
February 1st, 2011: Ideally we would like someone who is at least 40 years old, has been a past member of one or more recognized Punk bands, lives in the immediate Manhattan area, has both live performance and recording experience, experience using electronic drums and percussion, with the resources and time to take an active role in the functions inherent to a working band. You should be able to devote at least one days a week to regular rehearsals and be prepared to perform live locally at least twice a month. Audio recording, video,and other projects are pending. Keep in mind that Maninblack has made a name for itself by utilizing live electronics and digital effects and your performance should compliment this aspect. We have a Roland TD-3KW electronic drum kit that may be used at our discretion.
This is a serious project. Maninblack is looking for a band mate who will ultimately become a bushiness partner in our venture. We currently have a modest deal with Contra Records of Germany for a vinyl EP and full length CD, with the possibility of a subsequent short European tour, and we are interested in signing to a domestic label.
We absolutely refuse to employ hired musicians!
